Reserva Amagusa
Reserva Amagusa is nestled in the last foothill forest that directly connects to the lower subtropical western forest of Ecuador. Its unique location makes it particularly attractive for birders looking for high levels of biodiversity and Chocó-endemic birds. The altitude range is 2,450 to 5,600 ft. Chocó endemics we saw in the reserve included the Toucan Barbet and Moss-backed Tanager along with a multitude of other incredibly colored passerines.
